Prof. Sabyasachi Maiti teaches and supervises students for Geoscience application of Remote Sensing and GIS techniques. His research interests includes Shoreline change, Quantitative Geomorphology, Mineral exploration and other interdisciplinary application of RS & GIS. His research team is presently working on coral mapping in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, mineral exploration in South Purulia Shear Zone, GLOF potentiality study in Sikkim region. Besides, he developed facilities of NIR-SWIR spectrometer, laboratory with ArcGIS and ERDAS Imagine etc. He iniitated few collaborative projects for funding. Prospective students are most welcome to participate in his team.
