Research questions: Are the measures to sufficieny in conditions of happiness, as measured by GNH index adequate for students studying in the mountainesous region like Sikkim, as compared to those in low land e.g. IIT Kharagpur? How does each domain of happiness compare with these students? Are the measures taken for this purpose adequate to prove the fact? As a priliminary study, the idea is to take 200 samples of 100 each from Sikkim University and IIT Kharagpur based on a convience sampling with equal numbers of male and female, a mix between undergrads and postgrads. Data will be collected from a survey through semi-structured questionnaire.
These pilot study could explore and lead for an indepth study with statified sampling among the different groups of youth in India.
